It’s no secret that Peter likes sleeping inside the tube of their snazzy green home. Turns out, he isn’t the only one…
Peter’s new kids like staying inside the tube—sleeping, passing, or simply pushing one another upward and downward inside it. See the photo above? They love the tube so much that they’re fighting for its space even if the second floor of their home is off for cleaning

Did you see Peter on ABS-CBN’s Rated K last Sunday? He was featured there together with his dog friend Shantee. Anyway, their segment was about animal love. And since Peter and Shantee share a peculiar kind of friendship, Rated K “wed” them in a pet blessing event at Manila Zoo last Thursday for their show’s main story.
That’s Peter sleeping while Shantee, wearing a dog wedding gown, throws a tantrum in the background. Shantee likes being the center of attention all the time, but Peter’s content on sleeping Good thing too, because the next events were pretty stressing for an old hamster like him—Peter had to be taken out of his portable cage for filming. The crew even filmed Peter and Shantee giving their paw prints for the “Certificate of Blessing” Rated K provided as “proof” of their “marriage.” Hehe.

Almost as soon as we gave Abester’s kids to Marc’s sisters, Abester bore another set of litter! Gee, now I know what my uncle meant when he said that hamsters liked to… err.. multiply. Anyway, Abester and Peter had four new kids, but this little guy is my favorite:
He looks just like his daddy Peter! He’s like a small version of Peter, a bit frisky, but friendlier to people unlike his mom (Peter is very, very friendly—he doesn’t mind getting held at all, or that he’s just lazy).
I’m definitely keeping this one. The other three have been reserved already, but this little guy stays with me. I haven’t thought of a good name for him though! Any suggestions?

Happy New Year everyone!!!
My husband Marc finally agreed to give our new hamsters away. He initially wanted to keep the new guys, but I have thought that it would be difficult for us to manage three new hamsters in addition to our Peter and Abester. After begging and a lot of coaxing from me, Marc finally gave in to his step-sisters’ request to have the hamsters:
We said goodbye to the new hamsters on the block on New Year’s Eve. The new guys would be spending the New Year with their new masters in their new home!!!

You just got to sing this with the Spider-Man tune
Spider-Ham, Spider-Ham, does whatever escape he can. He keeps his food, in his mouth. When he’s hungry, he spits them out.
Here comes the Spider-Ham!

As I have said before, Peter would be spending Christmas in their plain old house. And for good reason!
Meet the new hamsters on the block! Err… The cage, I mean These are Abester’s new babies. There are three of them actually, the other one is just camera-shy!

That’s right. Poor Peter won’t be spending Christmas in their new, snazzy hamster cage.
It’s not that we’re being cruel, but we had to. Abester just had her babies!

Peter always did weird things to the stuff in his home, and it always had something to do with sleeping. Last time, he liked kicking out his roomies from using the wheel, just to sleep on it!
He’s a hassle again to his roomie, Abester How can he not, when he’s blocking the passage-way “downstairs?”

Need coffee? Just add water!
Careful! It’s little hamster Abester

I’ve been meaning to blog this for some time now, but never really had the time to take photos. Anyway, Peter and Abester have a new house. Take a look:
Losing Sheero is very painful, I’m still finding it hard to write on my dog blog. Our hamsters seem to be enjoying their new house though. Besides, I’ve finally got the batteries on my camera fixed, so you’ll be seeing more of these little critters in the coming days.
